WHO WE ARE



We are an alliance of workers from Brockton that need support to organize and build power to confront workplace abuses and exploitation.


The current team of Brockton Workers Alliance is composed of the following leaders.

                                                   

Our Treasurer-Maury Carrillo

Mrs. Carrillo came to the United States and has lived most of her life in Brockton. Loves to educate and volunteer on issues that affect most communities, especially immigrant communities. Mrs. Carrillo has great experience as a parent in the Brockton Public Schools and loves to help and educate other parents, workers, and women.

                                     
                                

      Chantale Dorvilus- Our Vice-President                             

Originally from Haiti, found out about BWA through a project that BWA launched during the pandemic.
Helping others makes Mrs. Dorvilus very happy because she knows firsthand that living in a foreign country is very difficult. She enjoys helping educate and motivating members of the community. Mrs. Dorvilus is passionate about building power with the most impacted in the community.
Through her efforts, Mrs. Dorvilus is helping to create a more vibrant and equitable community where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.



                                           Isabel Lopez

Is the founder and Director of Brockton Workers Alliance. 
Born and raised in Honduras, came to the U.S. as an undocumented teenager. As a domestic worker in Beverly Hills had first-hand experience with workplace abuses and understands what undocumented workers of color confront in this country. 
Experiences of exploitation and domestic violence led Ms. Lopez to organize other immigrant communities of color. She holds an MBA in public policy and politics as well as B.A. in Labor Studies from UMass Boston.
